Yifan Wen is a Chinese cinematographer, documentary director & colorist, based in Berlin and Beijing. 

A graduate of the KinoEyes European Movie Masters Program, with a Bachelor of Journalism in Wuhan University. 

Her films have screened widely on the international festival circuit, including the Palm Springs International ShortFest, HollyShorts, Busan International Film Festival, Leeds International Film Festival, and the Kerala International Short and Documentary Film Festival, among others across Europe, Asia, and North America.

Her directorial debut short film Centrifugal (2025) screened at PÖFF Shorts.

Manting (2024), selected for Palm Springs, HollyShorts, Leeds, and queer and women’s festivals worldwide; Roller Coaster (2023), which premiered at the 28th Busan International Film Festival and later screened in Buenos Aires and Madrid; and Before Leaving (2023), a Nowness Asia Staff Pick and winner of Best Cinematography at Planos Film Festival in Portugal. Earlier works such as Chen Wen Yuan were selected for the 17th FIRST International Film Festival. About The Echoes We Carry (2024) was selected to FEST New Directors New Films 2025. 

Her latest documentary project, Pigeon Catcher (2026), is currently in post-production.
